Associates in this position actively participate in one or more phases of the systems development life-cycle. Associates in this position may need to employ in-depth skills to develop the data structures, user interfaces and algorithms during the detailed design phase, program / debug / build test cases / unit test in the implementation phase, and perform software build / integration test / regression test / functional test in the integration phase. It is quite likely that associates in this position will have to perform these tasks directly without support from senior or junior members of the team with minimal managerial supervision. |

- There are two kinds of roles typically hired for: 1. Programmer - Certified MCAD/MCP (This is mandatory). - Two (2) years of full time post baccalaureate professional (not academic) experience in the following - Microsoft Development Studio.NET - C# and/or VB.NET - MS SQL Server 2000 (or later) and T-SQL - Microsoft Visual Source Safe - Microsoft Visio - COM, COM+ - ADO.NET - Crystal Reports 10 (or later) - The candidate must have a strong knowledge of and experience with the following - Framework Class Libraries - Unified Modeling Language (UML) - Windows Applications - Web Applications - XML Web Service, Windows Service, Remoting, Serviced Components - Debugging, Testing, Configuration, Exception Management, Deployment 2. Database Specialist - Two (2) years of full time post baccalaureate professional (not academic) experience in the following - MS SQL Server 2000 (or later) - T-SQL - Oracle 9i (or later) - PL/SQL - Microsoft Visual Source Safe - Microsoft Visio - Crystal Reports 10 (or later) - The candidate must have a strong knowledge of and experience with the following - RDBMS concepts like Normalization, ERD, Joins, Keys, Constraints etc. - Stored procedures, Triggers, Functions, Views - Database Backups, Restoration - Database Performance Tuning, Volume Sizing Other desirable skills for both the above roles include strong knowledge of - OOAD concepts - Design Patterns (GoF) - Application blocks, frameworks |
